how is it one forgets to pee?

this is the meaning of adhd

searching for glasses that reside on my face

there’s no such thing as the word “misplace”

and where are my keys?

all these things i desperately need

i should forget my name

with no one to blame

i get reclusive

as not to be abusive

to others around

pointing my head to the ground

can’t keep a schedule

sometimes a simple fellow

i try not to be, but you see

it is my adhd

to squirm and to fidget

with such precision

a talent i possess

but a bother nonetheless

as i zone off into space

i’m still looking at your face

i haven’t heard a word

you think these actions absurd

though i won’t apologize

i assure you, I really do try

to control my many quirks

some think me to be a jerk

one final lesson

somewhat of a confession

behold my final plea!

for misplaced advocacy

you must understand, set your mind free
